Closing and Cancellations

When the Lockport District schools are closed due to inclement weather, 4-H meetings on the grounds are also cancelled. When the county offices are closed in Niagara County, our office is automatically closed.

Youth Development

Young people need knowledge, skills, and support to reach their potential as capable, competent, and caring young citizens.  Cornell Cooperative Extension's youth programs connect youth to the resources of Cornell University and the land-grant system, strengthening the next generation of inventors, entrepreneurs and problem-solvers. Activities and events inspire and shape youth, give them opportunities to master skills, enrich their knowledge, and work with others who provide a positive influence.

The Niagara County 4-H Youth Development Program provides young people ages 5-19 with 4-H opportunities in the areas of Animal Science, Arts, Science & Technology, Consumer and Family Science, and the Natural Environment. 4-H'ers "Learn By Doing" to "Make the Best Better".
