The Ornamental Horticulture Industry in Niagara County consists of producers such as greenhouse and nursery growers, and retailers such as garden center and farm and garden store operators. The horticultural service industry consisting of landscapers, lawn care companies, arborists, athletic field and golf course superintendents and pest control operators is an important supporting sector.

Cornell Cooperative Extension provides technical assistance in the form of site visits, diagnosis of pest and disease problems, and occasional educational training programs for current or potential employees of horticultural businesses.
