Summer Camp Director

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County seeks a seasonal Camp director, a position (40 hours/week from early-June to mid-July) that oversees the day-to-day operations of the day camp, deliver program materials to youth, provides leadership to camp counselors, and is the camp liaison to the campers and parents.

Grigg-Lewis Summer Workership Intern

The Grigg-Lewis Summer Workership Intern's main responsibilities consist of working as a day camp counselor for youth 5-11 years of age, creating and assisting in teaching a variety of activities, identifying and meeting the needs of the campers, participating in a variety of activities before, during and after the Niagara County Fair, and conducting general office duties (answering the phone, computer work, copies, etc.).

 

Must be a college student who will be returning to his or her studies in the Fall of 2012 or a high school graduate who has been accepted at an accredited college for Fall 2012. The student must also be a resident of Eastern Niagara County, which is the primary focus for the Grigg-Lewis Foundation. 

The position will be available mid-June and ending late-August. Hours will be 40 per week generally from 8:00 am-4:30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. The exception will be the week of August 1st through August 6th when the Niagara County Fair will take place, which requires a certain degree of flexibility depending on the needs of the organization and the availability of the intern.
